In Service - 1974 through to the mid 90s
The Sherpa minibus has been used by the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force for a number of years, with often minimal differences between different models. The kit represents the type used during the 1980s, which is very similar to the ones used previously in the 1970s. The vehicles were used on RAF bases to move personnel throughout an airfield where just a small number of people had to be moved to save the use of a coach. Within the Army the minibuses have been used for a variety of purposes in both the Regular and TA reserve units, as well as by the Army and Air Force Cadets.
