This is an un-assembled 1/152nd scale model of a 3/4 ton Land Rover Hard Top that measures 31mm long, 11mm wide, and is 12mm high. It weighs 12g and consists of 7 parts that are made of lead-free pewter alloy.
In Service - Series 3 Land Rover - 1971 through to the mid 90s
The Land Rover has been used extensively by all three of Britain’s armed forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) from the first Series 1 back in the 1950s right up to the Land Rover XD Wolf currently in use. The model represents a long wheelbase version of the Series 3 vehicle with a pressed panel grille and with headlights set in the wings. This particular mark of vehicle came into service in 1971 and continued in use with earlier Series 2 vehicles for a considerable number of years. They were all taken out of service at the end of the 1990s when all of the leaf-sprung Land Rovers were withdrawn from service in favour of the more modern coil sprung Land Rover Defenders and Wolf
